We have some great opportunities with our well-established company looking for Deputy Managers to join their team. This successful Children's Residential provider is located in Herne Bay, Kent.
DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL for this role.
This is a permanent role offering a 38-hour contract, and full flexibility is required.
Full training will be provided.
NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People Services or willingness to work towards it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives.
* Provide personal care as required.
* Ensure a safe, warm, and supportive environment for the young residents.
* Comply with company rules, policies, and practices, and respond to emergencies that may arise.
* Develop a responsible attitude with residents regarding the fabric, furnishings, equipment, supplies, and services in the establishment.
* Foster and encourage contact between residents and their families whenever appropriate.
* Promote and encourage learning by young people and work on educational activities within the programmes devised by the Home.
* Accompany young people on outdoor activities when required.
* Carry out duties in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary.
* Physically intervene if a resident’s behaviour poses a danger to themselves or others, in accordance with procedural guidance and relevant legislation.
* Attend relevant internal and external meetings/training as requested.
* Be responsible for the health and safety of self and others.
* Carry out any other appropriate duties requested by the RM and respective line manager.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young adults in accordance with the Academy’s Safeguarding Policy & Procedures.
