Bloomfield Medical Ltd seeks to appoint additional Band 6 Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician who wants to further develop their skills, working towards a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice. All our Advanced Clinical Practitioners are non-medical prescribers able to complete the episode of care for the patients within our services.
The training is fully funded. You will be granted study leave and each successful individual will be assigned a clinical mentor.

Hours are 30 hours minimum up to 37.5 hours.
Main duties of the job
On completion of the course, our newly qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners will work across the Urgent Treatment Centres developing and enhancing the clinical services, which includes Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre, DVT Service, and Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre which includes the traditional Out of Hours provision across the Fylde Coast and the streaming of minor injuries and illness away from the Emergency Department at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.
The post-holders will attend to patients presenting with a booked appointment or with an unscheduled care need; diagnosing, treating patients, and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and care needs.

Blackpool's Urgent Treatment Centres are services delivered by Bloomfield Medical Ltd. Both Urgent Treatment Centres are open access services based in the Health Centre on Whitegate Drive and co-located with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Emergency Dept. The Urgent Treatment Centres aim to deliver convenient accessible primary care services and are open every day of the year. Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre is open from 8 am to 8 pm and Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre is open 8 am to 10 pm.
Job responsibilities
The post-holder will be supported to undertake training to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. During their training, the post holder will be responsible for attending to patients presenting with a booked appointment or with an unscheduled care need, assessing, diagnosing, treating patients, and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs. Trainee Practitioners will work under the supervision of the Advanced Practitioners and GPs in the team. For their development, they will be expected to rotate across any of the services. Study time and mentorship will be provided for the duration of the course.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current professional registration as a health practitioner
* Evidence of recent professional and academic development
* Ability to study at Masters degree level (Level 7)
* Non-medical prescribing
* A first degree relevant to health
Experience
* Significant post-registration experience of professional practice (minimum 5 years)
* Experience of autonomous practice within an unscheduled care setting
* Clinical skills and proven ability to work under pressure
* IT and computer literate
* Experience of Adastra clinical computer system

£35,392 to £42,618 a year pending new 2024/25 pay award.
