Summary of Role Fire Surveyor Estimator required fire safety, electrical and access control to clients across the North of England. The role will involve surveying a site in relation to all aspects of fire. This includes undertaking technical surveys of their premises, system design, and being responsible for the technical aspects of a quotation. The role of estimating includes ensuring that the right equipment is put into a quotation using the management/CRM systems to assist you. This relates to pricing and putting together the product and technical elements of the quotation within an agreed timeframe for the prospect. This involves working with and communicating with the team members. You will be asked from time to time to either talk to or meet a prospect to answer technical questions about the quotation and explain the solution you chose. Provide quotation on small remedial repair works (internal) Technical surveys of client’s premises. Contract Review - following job acceptance. Completion documentation i.e. certification and drawings. Technical support to both engineers and customers. External technical audits on both engineers and systems installed/maintained. Skills & Experience: Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems - Units 1 – 6 (FIA) Experience of producing design /estimates You need a solid engineering background, with a comprehensive technical and practical understanding of Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Extinguishers. This includes the correct methods of installation. You need in-depth knowledge of British and European Standards relating to fire systems. Experience of producing designs for installation of Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers in industrial, commercial, retail and domestic environments in accordance with BAFE codes of practice.
