Imaging Physicist in Diagnostic Radiology - Nottingham, UK
Position: Clinically qualified medical physicist
Institution: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
Location: Nottingham, UK
Application closes at: Jan 30th, 2025 23:55
We have two opportunities to join the growing Radiation Physics team at Nottingham University Hospitals. These posts would suit individuals with an interest in diagnostic radiology and/or radiation protection, who would like to contribute to the development and improvement of a wide range of techniques supporting a comprehensive clinical service.
This is an exciting time for Radiation Physics at NUH with many new developments, including photon-counting CT and contrast-enhanced screening mammography. We are active in research and training and would be happy to support the successful candidates in developing their skills in these areas. The post holder will be encouraged, in time, to develop towards MPE and/or RPA certification.
Ideally, you would be registered in the UK, or clearly eligible for registration, with experience of diagnostic radiology and radiation protection in healthcare. However, we would also like to hear from candidates who do not yet fully meet the person specification but are willing to undertake the requisite training to reach this standard, who will be considered for appointment at a lower grade.
Hours will be full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday, with some flexibility, based on service requirementswith the candidate’s agreement. Consideration will also be given to part-time working. Regional travel (<100 km) is required as part of the role, so a valid driving licence is desirable.
