Description The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure. LI-KP1 Responsibilities The Permit Co-ordinator works within the RUST team and supports the organisation in the management of highways activities including compliance with StreetWorks permits and all associated agreements and tasks. Process permit applications and associated agreements and documentation, including but not exclusive to TTROs, Access Agreements, PRoW permissions and/or TTROs, parking bay suspensions, materials licences, road space agreements, in line with New Roads and Street Works Act and Traffic Management Act compliance. Maintain close working relationships with local authorities and SPA. Communicate with the site teams, controlling timeline of permits around closures and extensions, avoiding Section 74s Coordination of defect management from start to finish. Ensure all projects have the appropriate paperwork and notices in place for works start date. Ensure correct TM is booked in line with conditions of the permit. Tracking of works activities, keeping accurate records and updates Build and maintain good productive working relationships between SPA and local authorities by providing a professional service based on trust and respect. Support the wider project teams to become more forward-looking with permit requirements. Confidently manage Fixed Penalty Notices, Defects and Section 74 fine processing and challenge where necessary Support project teams with utility related requests (including diversions, third party supervision requirements) Contribute project knowledge to team tracker to allow thorough review and assessments of schemes. Provide relevant reports as required by your line manager. Any other administrative duties related to your business area as requested by your line manager. Keep up to date with new organisations, company merges and their supply areas and feed into Team Lead. Qualifications Previous experience within a permitting position within the highways sector. Understanding of New Roads & Streetworks Act and Traffic Management Act. Experience of working within a compliance sector, with external stakeholders and working for/with Highways and Local Authorities would be an advantage. Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation relevant to latest New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and Permit Conditions COP. Strong organisational skills and proactive / reactive mindset. Use own initiative to interpret the Streetworks legislation and regulations to provide guidance and support to colleagues within the team. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external people. Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation relevant to latest New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act and Permit Conditions COP. Strong organisational skills, Proactive and reactive mindset. Use own initiative to interpret the Streetworks legislation and regulations to provide guidance and support to colleagues within the team.
