Business Development Manager
The Role: Selling an innovative, and connected, IoT solution - the Business Development Manager will be targeting the bus & coach sector in the UK, this will be inclusive of OEM's, Local Authorities, and the commercial operating companies. You will be selling solutions which include remote condition monitoring, passenger counting, GPS, Wi-Fi systems, CCTV and camera monitor systems, as well as displays and announcement features on buses and coaches. This is naturally a longer sales process and thus requires multiple touch points from head office level decision makers through to Bus Depot Managers, therefore needing multiple approaches from the Business Development Manager.
This is a national role and one which focuses mostly on new business development (70%) as it's a growth role for the organisation. This 'new business' will not only be brand new, cold, business but also reinvigorating older data and relationships the business has in the past - as such, you will be in receipt of a strong CRM system and lots of tools to drive BD. Sales cycle lengths can me a few months through to a couple of years, so patience, strategy, and structure are pre-requisites of a successful Business Development Manager.

The business has a superb brand name in the transportation sector and is host to some very impressive, technically minded, individuals. Not only that, but the earning potential here is fantastic!
Requirements: To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you must have:
· A sales background selling into the bus & coach industry - OEMs &/or commercial operators
· Knowledge of sales processes & a desire to sell in to multiple routes to market
· Be a self-starter, have a pro-active approach to sales, and a field sales track record
· A willingness to travel extensively, have structure, and be a driven sales professional.
The Package for the Business Development Manager:
£55k-65k basic salary DOE + uncapped commission scheme (typically £25k-40k OTE), 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, company car OR up to £6k p/a company car allowance, laptop, mobile, pension scheme.
