The role will involve a combination of office-based and fieldwork; travel may be required to meet clients and attend events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Pharmacy Specialists in a pivotal leadership capacity, shaping the pharmacy sales strategy and driving significant business growth.
The Position
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share for the pharmacy division. This role involves building a team of sales professionals, managing key accounts, and building long-term relationships with clients, healthcare providers, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
* Identify new market opportunities and growth areas within the pharmaceutical sector.
* Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team and monitor progress.
* Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing pharmacy sales team.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
* Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including current & prospective pharmacy owners.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with clients and suppliers.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform sales strategies.
* Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
* Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the pharmaceutical industry.
* Work closely with marketing teams to align sales campaigns with promotional strategies.
* Coordinate with the supply chain and operations team to ensure timely product availability.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
The Person
* A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not essential.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Proven track record in a leadership role, managing sales teams and achieving targets.
* Knowledge of the Pharmacy Sector preferred.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyse data, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
