Airband is an internet service provider bringing high-speed broadband to rural communities from North Wales down to Devon and Somerset in the Southwest. Having built the network, our strategic focus is to increase our customer connections, and we are looking for a talented HR professional to join us at this exciting time as we embark on the next chapter of our growth based out of our Droitwich office (Hybrid).
The Opportunity
This is no ordinary Talent & Development Partner role as we are looking for someone who not only has a passion for Recruitment and Talent Acquisition, but who also is experienced with Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement & Wellbeing, and HR Compliance and Administration. There is lots of variety with this role and plenty of interesting work for the right individual to develop their skills and experience. It is likely you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience and have a good level of IT literacy. Knowledge of PeopleHR would be a bonus!
Responsibilities of the role include:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
* Responsible for full lifecycle recruiting including research, sourcing, networking, candidate management, and offer negotiations to ensure the business has the right talent at the right time.
* Deliver a proactive resourcing solution to meet the talent needs of the business using search tools to reduce the need for recruitment agency spend.
* Manage and track candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System and ensure we are delivering a great candidate experience (PeopleHR).
* Build and develop effective relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to fully understand hiring needs and identify the best methodology to source talent and deliver market insight across their business areas.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, maintaining consistent and accurate communication throughout the recruitment process to always ensure the best candidate experience.
* Identify and implement a variety of sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates that are engaged and ready for current and future roles.
* Ensure high-level confidentiality with all recruiting data and reporting metrics in line with GDPR guidelines.
* Represent Airband at external events including Careers Events and Jobs Fairs to develop candidate connections and communities.
* Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates to ensure we have effective talent pools. Manage talent pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged for current or future opportunities.
* Ensure offer compliance with all hiring paperwork for new starters being managed and uploaded effectively.
* Report on recruitment and market activity across business areas.
* Communicate regularly with HR Business Partners and People team to get a clear view of the company’s hiring needs and organisational goals and objectives.
* Work closely with the marketing department to develop the employer brand and create different ways for attracting and engaging with talent.
* Proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies.
* Research talent acquisition trends in the sector and benchmark salaries and total reward across all business areas.
* Attend industry events and salary survey launches to capture data and insight.
HR Generalist
* Learning & Development: Support performance management and learning initiatives.
* Leadership Development: Support the development and implementation of a competency framework and succession planning methodology.
* Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Lead initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive work culture.
* HR Compliance & Administration: Ensure compliance with legal requirements including Right to Work, IR35, referencing and maintain accurate records, and produce HR reports.
Key Skills Required
* In-depth knowledge of candidate selection methods.
* Excellent understanding of full lifecycle recruitment processes.
* Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (PeopleHR or similar).
* Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.
* Strong presentation skills and clear information delivery.
* Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
* Excellent networking skills both virtually and in person.
* Strong IT literacy including Microsoft suite (Excel/Sharepoint/Powerpoint/Outlook).

Please note that you are required to have the right to work in the UK and we request satisfactory references as part of our recruitment process. A DBS check is required for a number of our roles, particularly those that are customer-facing including HR roles. Also, a driving licence may be required for positions that require you to be out in the field as part of the role.
