Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities Provide a high-quality administration service to the Outpatients Department to include; Arranging internal and external meetings, managing agendas, minutes and papers Producing high quality reports, utilising a range of IT systems to produce information in different formats Managing booking diaries and e-mail systems Liaising effectively with people from a range of departments and organisations to ensure smooth running of the service and delivery of projects Collate, analyse and report a range of information to support delivery of projects Participate in service and quality development initiatives, such as audits, protocols and guidelines, reflecting the needs patients, the service and the wider modernisation agenda. Ensure that information is available to support the achievement of performance standards and targets. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Qualification in administration, secretarial skills or equivalent experience Qualification or expert competence in use of IT systems such as Microsoft office Desirable criteria Project management qualification Experience Essential criteria Experience of effective team working Experience of managing, supervising or supporting other staff Desirable criteria Experience of providing high quality administrative and secretarial support Experience of project management/ service improvement Experience of implementation/use of SystmOne in clinical teams Experience in service improvement e.g. audit, clinical developments, system improvements, benchmarking Experience of undertaking performance development reviews Knowledge Essential Criteria Able to develop and maintain communication with people about difficult matters and / or in difficult situations.
