They seek to appoint a Senior Production Planner who has ambitions to develop into a Supply Chain Manager in due course. THE ROLE Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management Handling production disruptions and productivity problems Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes THE PERSON Must have the ability to build great relationships with suppliers and colleagues. Must be diligent and accurate. Must be resilient and enjoy a challenge Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office It would be useful to be skilled in the use of specific Supply Chain/Logistics management software such as Pegasus Opera, i2 Factory Planner or SAP.
