Your new role
Hays Education are looking for an experienced school site supervisor to join our schools' well established and dedicated site team. You will be responsible for all aspects of site management, including health and safety, security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance, refurbishment and minor repairs. You will also work closely with the headteacher, the school business manager and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the school.
This position will be worked on a shift-based rota with other staff. You will be required to have some flexibility and support the school during the holidays with projects that cannot bepleted during term time. Both interim and permanent applications can be considered for this post.
What you'll need to succeed
1. A relevant vocational qualification in site management or facilities management, or equivalent experience
2. A good knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
3. A good knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques
4. A good knowledge of security systems and equipment
5. A flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
6. A willingness to work outside normal school hours when required, such as during school closure periods or emergencies
7. Amitment to supporting the school’s vision and values
