Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, ensuring that all installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and physical stamina to handle various plumbing challenges effectively, working in void properties as well as tenanted properties alongside our repairs and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
2. Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
3. Use hand tools and power tools to carry out installations and repairs.
4. Assemble and weld pipes as necessary for various plumbing applications.
5. Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Adhere to safety regulations and building codes at all times.
9. Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing systems effectively.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
4. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
5. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential.
6. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during installations or repairs.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
