Job Title: Food Service Assistant Location: Enfield, EN3 Salary: £14.73 per hour Hours: 7am -3pm Candidate MUST have a DBS Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team in Enfield EN3. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day operations of our food service, ensuring that all customers receive high-quality service and that all food is prepared, presented, and served in a hygienic and professional manner. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring all requests are handled promptly and efficiently. Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including basic cooking, assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards. Serving: Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and friendly manner, ensuring all items are presented attractively and in a timely fashion. Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, restock items as needed, and inform the supervisor of any shortages or issues with supplies. Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service, assisting with various tasks as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in a food service or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues. Basic food preparation skills and a keen interest in food and beverage service. Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided if necessary).
