SEN Teaching Assistant Start date: ASAP Hours of work: 8.30am-3.45pm Mon-Fri term time only Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Croydon who are seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Our client school is a specialist school for students with complex medical needs, physical disabilities and learning difficulties aged from EYFS to Post 16. The school boats a happy and successful learning environment in which everyone's efforts are celebrated!
All Teaching Assistants are based in classroom and support learning alongside personal care, medical care and therapy assistance. The dedicated role of a Teaching Assistant within this school will be working under the instruction and support of teaching and senior leadership staff, in which you will enable access to learning for all pupils.
You will be enthusiastic and creative with experience of working with children and at least a Level 2 qualification in an education or care related area.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with PMLD, ideally within SEN or specialist school settings.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or PMLD care are highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
