An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our Accounts team in the role of Management Accountant. The purpose of this role is to provide financial analysis to support decision making in the business.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Act as the SEM specialist for the costing system by compiling associated costs to establish the true cost breakdown of our products to include, but not limited to, materials, overheads and labour.
2. Conduct financial analysis to assist in business profitability and growth.
3. Work as part of project teams, providing financial information.
4. Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly accounts, summaries and group reports based on financial data.
5. Perform departmental audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
6. Develop financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
7. Communicate financial information to non-financial managers and stakeholders.
8. Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end financial statements.
9. Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
10. Implement and monitor KPI's to help the business maintain control of cost and production efficiencies.
11. Report and monitor balance sheet and working capital position and ensure any action needed is taken. Full balance sheet reconciliations prepared and maintained.
12. Liaise with the other departments for all relevant matters pertaining to achieving targets.
13. Provide input for the operational strategy working closely with the senior management teams.
Our Management Accountant would be a:
1. Confident individual with hands on financial expertise, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Focussed and goal orientated.
5. Well organised and efficient, with the ability to interpret processes and improve their effectiveness.
6. An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. The proven ability to hit deadlines and targets in line with set KPI's as well as holding others accountable.
8. Take ownership for Health & Safety and hold others accountable to achieve set goals.
Qualifications
Educated to degree standard or equivalent, ideally late stage part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA).
