We have recently won a number of large projects across the North, particularly in the Healthcare sector and are looking to grow our teams in both Manchester and Leeds.
Job Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the Regional Director and being responsible for the management and delivery of medium to larger sized projects.
2. Responsible for project finances.
3. Managing a small team of engineers and providing specialised technical input to studies and design to assist in the development of junior and graduate engineers.
4. Participate, manage and engage in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
5. Preparation of fee estimates, design programme and liaison with clients to agree project deliverables.
6. Participating in quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
7. Preparing technical specification sections.
8. Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
9. Having a good understanding of software packages used to design mechanical building services systems.
10. Managing project resources to meet the agreed deliverables on programme and within budget.
Minimum Requirements
1. Successful track record of electrical services design.
2. A highly motivated individual with a passion for succeeding and developing.
3. Have previous experience working as either an Associate or Principal Engineer.
4. Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong negotiation skills.
5. Membership of a relevant professional body, such as IET or similar.
6. Good understanding of software packages used to design electrical services.
7. Experience in delivering projects using BIM software packages.
8. The successful candidate will preferably have had experience in the design and delivery of healthcare facilities.
Qualifications
1. Have a CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree.
2. Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body.
3. Extensive post graduate experience.
