Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils in schools across Maidstone. Position Details: Role : SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 support) Location : Maidstone, Kent Availability : Full-time and part-time roles available Your Role: As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide personalized support to students with additional needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. Adapt teaching resources and strategies to meet individual learning plans. Assist with classroom activities and promote a positive learning environment. Support students with communication, sensory, or behavioral challenges. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and adjust support as needed. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school, care, or similar setting. A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure. An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
