Due to sector demand and the success of the Level 5 Youth Justice Practitioner Apprenticeship we are now seeking qualified and experienced youth justice professionals to train and assess apprentices on this exciting apprenticeship standard. Role and Responsibilities: The role will include delivery of the Level 5 (Higher Education) Youth Justice Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard to apprentices within Youth Offending and Justice Services. We are seeking individuals who have a wealth of knowledge and experience working within this field and especially within Youth Justice Teams, who are now looking to support and develop this knowledge in others. As a senior trainer, you will be using your background to deliver this apprenticeship to a range of employers and apprentices involved in Youth Justice Services. You will use your previous experience to deliver on an established, exciting and challenging apprenticeship programme, and therefore it is essential you will have an engaging communication style. You will be involved in all aspects associated with this apprenticeship to include employee engagement, delivery, learner support, coaching, teaching and assessing. Experience and Skills: A strong and proven background in Youth Justice Services. Excellent working knowledge and experience of appropriate legislation and ‘Child First’ practice. Advanced knowledge and practical experience of complex Safeguarding. Knowledge of evidence-based interventions to promote Desistance. Broad understanding of working within a complex multi-agency, muti-disciplinary context. Excellent knowledge on the various legislation and referral criteria associated with the secure estate. Working knowledge of the Youth Court System. Previous training experience and qualifications are desirable but not essential as internal training and qualification programmes are in place. Commitment to conduct Continuous Professional Development to stay up to date with sector changes and to remain ‘current’.
