An exciting opportunity for a newly qualified GP* to work within Tonbridge PCN Same Day Access Hub. Working alongside a team of paramedics, ACP and practice GPs. This role will provide face to face appointments to patients requiring on the day assessment for acute problems. The hub will run 12.30-5.30pm, rotating between Tonbridge surgeries, offering a unique opportunity to work across 5 practices as part of the PCN team. Responsibilities will also include remote support at times to our visiting team and community nurses, but with allocated time and training in supervision to support this work.
*Must be within 2 years of CCT and not yet held a salaried post within a GP practice.
Main duties of the job
To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. As a newly or recently qualified GP, you will benefit from daily support from experienced GP colleagues.
The role involves both clinical and administrative work which are based on the EMIS clinical system, which is used by all of our PCN practices.
Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.
Attend and participate in meetings including significant Event Meetings, educational meetings, Salaried GP meets and social events. Clinical meetings option of remotely attending via MS Teams.
Extended Hours/IA sessions shared on a pro rata basis across all practice/PCN staff.
The post holder will need to be capable of independent travel across the Tonbridge area and work flexibly to meet the needs of the Business.

* Experience of working in a primary care environment

* Experience of continued professional development
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Not previously been substantively employed at a GP Practice
* General understanding of the primary care contract
* Experience of medicines management
* Experience of ICB initiatives
* Any level of post-training experience will be considered.
Qualifications
* Newly Qualified General Practitioner with under 2 years from gaining their CCT.
* MRCGP
* General Practitioner Certificate of Completion of Training CCT
* Full GMC registration
* National Performers List registration (England), noting that confirmation on this list is adequate for DBS confirmation
* Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
* Current UK/EU Driving License
