As the E-Learning Partner your core focus will be looking at our use of technology to deliver an outstanding learner experience. You will play a critical role in helping Nisbets to implement and optimise the LMS platform to deliver effective learning experiences across the Group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth administration and operation of the LMS platform to ensure our e-learning provision meets organisational needs and provides a positive and productive learning experience for all users.
The role is expected to support development of and become the subject matter expert (SME) for e-learning at Nisbets. As such, they will also become responsible for the review and development of e-learning content and over time, their work will enable the delivery of more blended learning programmes within Nisbets.
This role will be situated at our Avonmouth office and will have the added bonus of working on a hybrid model.
Key Accountabilities
* Needs Assessment and Requirement Gathering
* Collaborating with stakeholders (managers, the People Team, and learners) to understand Nisbets’ learning and development goals.
* Conducting assessments to identify gaps in the current learning processes and recommend how the LMS can address these needs.
* Implementation and Configuration
* As a critical member of the LMS implementation project team, they will be responsible for the setup and configuration of the LMS, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and compliance with data and privacy standards.
* Setting up learning programs, course structures, audiences, permissions, communications, and seamless integrations with other tools (such as; our core HR system, Bunzl's learning platform & content, authoring software, video conferencing tools, and external databases, Single Sign On (SSO) and other software and system integrations).
* Manage the integrations with learning partners to ensure a seamless colleague learning experience
* Course Content Management and Support
* Ensure that content is uploaded, updated, and maintained regularly within the LMS.
* Use digital expertise to customise off the shelf or internally produced course content where appropriate.
* They will act as our learning advocate for e-learning content, driving effective but manageable, easy to digest content.
* They will be partnering with third parties and internal stakeholders to deliver content, either off the shelf, customised or Nisbets specific content, with the aim to deliver the most effective learner experience.
* User Training and Support
* Developing and delivering resources to educate users on how to navigate and use the LMS effectively.
* Provide ongoing support to resolve technical issues and answer user questions.
* Analytics and Reporting
* Develop reporting and tracking within the LMS to capture metrics on course completions, learner engagement, assessment scores, and feedback.
* Analyse data to assess the effectiveness of the LMS and makes recommendations for improvement.
* Policy and Compliance Management
* Work with IT, Legal and the People Team, to ensures that the LMS complies with industry standards for data security protocols, and any specific compliance needs (e.g., GDPR, accessibility requirements).
* Regularly audit LMS policies and usage to ensure they align with organisational goals.
* Continuous Improvement and Optimisation
* Gather and analyse feedback from users and stakeholders to improve the LMS experience.
* Implement updates, adds new features, and stays informed of LMS trends and new functionalities that could benefit the organisation.
* Develop e-learning offering as a stand-alone service and in parallel enables the development of blended learning. This will help to embed e-learning in Nisbets and improve accessibility to learning for colleagues not based in the Avonmouth area, as well as improving return on investment and learner engagement.
* Vendor and Stakeholder Communication
* Working with our tooling and content partners to recommend and implement improvements in service delivery ensuring Nisbets gets best value from the committed investment.
* Liaise with our partners, including e-learning content providers to resolve issues, understand feature upgrades, and advocates for customisation requests.
* Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to keep them informed of LMS updates, policy changes, and new feature rollouts.
* Works to understand learners and internal stakeholders needs, through different listening strategies, e.g. Colleague feedback, SME’s input on specialist subjects i.e. compliance, survey and course feedback
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Technical Capabilities
The role requires a mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with relevant experience in technology implementation.
Experience
* An education in, human resources, learning, instructional design, or a related field is desirable. Educated to A level standard or equivalent, is a requirement.
* Direct experience with an LMS platform is essential. The Learning Partner should be familiar with platform-specific configurations, troubleshooting, and user management.
* Knowledge of instructional design principles, online learning strategies, and at least one content creation tool (such as, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, SCORM, xAPI, for example) will be an advantage.
* Experience managing projects, especially in technology or learning implementations, is critical. This includes experience working on project timelines, budgets, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
* Experience in handling technical support enquiries, will be necessary for providing user support and developing documentation.
Skills
* LMS Administration – to include system configuration, data analytics and software and integration knowledge to ensure that the LMS integrates smoothly within Nisbets
* Project Management Skills – strong organisation and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
* Data Analytics and Problem Solving – reporting to measure system performance, learner engagement and deliver insights to drive improvements as well as trouble shooting capability to resolve technical or user related issues
* Communication and Interpersonal Skills – to explain LMS features, create learning materials and run user sessions, as well as effective stakeholder management
