Service Controller – Iron & Earth Equipment Ltd

About the Role
As a Service Controller at Iron & Earth Equipment, you will be at the heart of our service operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You’ll oversee service workloads, manage warranties, liaise with suppliers, and ensure seamless internal communication by keeping systems updated.

Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Service Revenue Growth – Proactively manage service operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
2. Technical Support – Be first point of contact for customers and our engineers for technical support, troubleshooting & diagnostics.
3. Customer Communication & Relationship Management – Act as the main point of contact for service customers, ensuring outstanding customer service and repeat business.
4. Engineer Workload Planning & Service Execution – Schedule and coordinate engineers' workloads to meet customer demands efficiently.
5. Use of Technology & System Updates – Maintain and update internal service systems to ensure all stakeholders have real-time job status visibility.
6. Supplier Coordination & Warranty Management – Work closely with suppliers to source parts and manage warranty claims effectively.
7. Performance Tracking & Financial Management – Monitor KPIs, ensure prompt invoicing, and oversee payment collections to drive business success.
8. Collaboration Across Departments – Work closely with all people in our small but efficient team to improve overall service performance.
9. Career Growth & Leadership – Take on increasing responsibilities with a clear path to a Service Manager role.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience in a dealership, hire-based service environment, or similar industry.
2. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive profitability and revenue growth.
3. Excellent communication skills to build relationships with customers and team members.
4. Results-driven approach – ability to meet and exceed service targets.
5. Confidence with technology – experience using service management software for job tracking and reporting.
6. Ambition to progress into a Service Manager position as the department expands.
