That’s where you come in: Deep.Meta is looking for a Machine Learning & Reinforcement Learning expert to lead our creative team of data scientists and developers as Head of Engineering. Joining the core leadership team, you will be the go-to person for key technical decisions and aligning the tech team’s activities with business goals. As the business is small, this is a hybrid hands-on and management role, with huge scope for progression. As Head of Engineering, you will be there to manage, mentor, and develop the capabilities of the tech team. It’s down to you to motivate and facilitate the growth of your team, nurturing a culture of accountability and high-performance. You’ll be there to provide technical oversight and leadership on Machine Learning Algorithm development and support their integration into the developed software. Deep.Meta is a revenue-generating, VC-backed startup, so you will be representing the technical aspects of the business to investors, customers and other stakeholders. What makes you a good candidate: Machine Learning expertise, specifically Reinforcement Learning, and developing models using complex time-series data. Confidence writing production-grade code in a cloud platform (eg. GCP, AWS). Track record of successfully delivering products in a startup environment. Demonstrated the aptitude for leadership through past management or mentorship responsibilities. If you’re someone who tends to question how and why things are done, you’re comfortable sharing ideas and use your intuition to investigate the best course of action – this could be the role for you. What makes you a GREAT candidate: Experience with industrial AI or the traditional manufacturing sector. History of managing and scaling a high performing tech team within a startup. You’ve been an entrepreneur or founding team member yourself. Deep.Meta is expanding its use cases in the steel industry, which have the potential to dramatically reduce emissions from one of the most polluting industries on the planet.
