Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Grimsby
ABOUT THE ROLE
Manage the engineering and facilities at Grimsby. Leadership of the full team, through management structure, comprising of the following functions:
1. HSEQA
2. Engineering workshop operations
3. Commercial and administration
Monitoring and understanding customer service levels, ensuring work is delivered to the quoted price and lead time and meeting contractual responsibilities, such as TCO, RCA and specific reporting and quoting progress updates.
Essentials
4. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of H&S within the team both on ERIKS and customer premises.
5. The management of the workshop facility, the site services teams, and Commercial/Administration functions
6. Producing regular and accurate forecasts
7. Monitoring the staffing levels (inc overtime), skill set and flexibility of the workforce to ensure it matches the requirements of the target customers.
Technical/function
8. Main Product – DC motor repairs and coil manufacture
9. Technical understanding of manufacturing within the engineering industry.
10. Strong background in all aspect of service delivery
11. Strong understanding of service metrics and a proven track record of continuous improvement.
12. Demonstrable experience in H&S.
13. Understanding of operational requirements / constraints
14. Plans activities and projects well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances.
15. Applies specialist and detailed technical knowledge.
16. Sets and develops strategies.
17. Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people
Working Hours:
Mon - Thurs: 8.00am - 4.30pm
Fri: 08:00 - 3.30pm
Weekly hours: 39
Breaks: 1 hour
