Main duties of the job To lead, develop, contribute to and influence breast care strategies within host Trust, South East London Cancer Network and nationally to enable partnership development across breast care services. o To be responsible for the line management of Advanced Nurse practitioners and Breast Care CNS workforce. o To be an expert nurse receiving and making independent direct referrals. o To work autonomously in the assessment and development of clinical management plans across the inpatient/outpatient settings and communicate recommendations verbally and in writing to Consultants, GPs, hospital staff and the primary healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of care o To support nurse led clinics to assess patients for problems associated with endocrine therapy and to identify strategies and solution in managing these symptoms. o To work closely with consultant medical and surgical colleagues to implement the outcomes of the breast model of care and to deliver and continually develop an equitable, standardised, high quality breast care service. o To contribute to the development of breast care training and teaching programmes to improve the clinical skills of clinicians from all disciplines and health settings About us The Surgical Oncology Directorate are an integral part of the Cancer and Surgery Clinical Group.
