Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team at The Cow Shed Bar & Grill. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and meal service. Duties:
1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
2. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
3. Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
4. Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety guidelines.
5. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
7. Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
8. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of kitchen equipment.
Skills:
1. Previous experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
2. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
3. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
