Design & Technology Teacher Location: Bridgend, South Wales Salary: Pay to scale, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time Start: 3rd March 2025 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to support a dynamic team at a well-respected secondary school in Bridgend, South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop students' skills in a range of design and technology disciplines, helping them to become creative thinkers and problem solvers. Key Responsibilities: Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on KS4 coursework. Develop engaging and innovative lessons that cater to a range of abilities and interests. Encourage practical, hands-on learning in workshops and classrooms. Promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students. Prepare students for assessments, including coursework and practical exams. Work closely with colleagues to enhance the department’s curriculum and resources. Requirements: A relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A strong subject knowledge of Design & Technology (specialism in woodwork is desirable). Experience teaching in secondary education, preferably in the UK. An enhanced DBS. A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student achievement.
