Job Description We’re recruiting for a Head of Governance, Risk and Financial Management to join our team. Working with the Group HR Services & Oversight Director, this is a key role ensuring that the Group HR team operates within the appropriate control and risk framework to deliver value to the wider business. In this role, you will directly oversee the governance and control of Group HR, including risk management, supplier relationship management, budgets/expense management and data privacy, ensuring that the team operates within an appropriate control environment to support business divisions and other group functions. What you'll be doing: Developing and owning a robust risk management framework across Group HR, maintaining oversight and control over strategic, enterprise, operational, financial and non-financial, and Groupwide people risk, on first line risks relevant to all Group HR functions. Owning the internal risk committee and producing quality reporting and MI as required for upwards reporting. Developing and owning the supplier relationship strategy and operating model for Group HR, working with TPRM, Procurement, and IT, as required, to ensure that the appropriate governance and oversight is in place for all relevant Group HR third-party suppliers. Ensuring that appropriate and effective financial controls are in place across Group HR including developing and managing appropriate FTE and Management Expenses budgets for Group HR to agreed tolerances for quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts. Ensuring that all mandatory Groupwide policies are followed, minimum control requirements where specified are in place and operational, working closely with the second line to ensure optimal practices and ways of working are embedded. Ensuring Group HR functions maintain the appropriate first line data privacy controls and reporting, in line with group policy, in respect of all employee data. Ensuring controls are embedded and regulatory timelines are adhered to under GDPR, including managing the SAR process for all candidates and employees across the Group. Developing an ongoing education programme for existing and new people, so our people clearly understand the Financial and non-Financial risk framework, the importance of supplier managers and what is expected of our people in this regard. Managing the risk and governance team and strategy. Taking the lead in all matters regarding the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximize business performance. Ensuring that the principles of Conduct Risk are always embedded into day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes, where appropriate. Ensuring that all business processes and internal controls are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes (TCF) and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk.
