We are looking for experienced and ambitious Skilled Shift PSV Mechanic to join Arriva, based at our Hemel Hempstead depot. As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA. MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks. Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA). Attending roadside breakdowns. Early/Day shift rota covering 5 out of 7 days Sunday to Saturday working with shift start patterns Day Shift: 8:30am – 4.30pm, Late Shift 2:00pm – 10:00pm Requirements of a PSV Mechanic: Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation). A full UK driving licence (6 points or less). Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.
