Purpose of the Role:
This is a Labour Productivity and Optimisation Manager role. This is a role for a finance professional to business partner senior operational stakeholders, act as the finance lead on critical business initiatives to drive labour efficiencies, and support with data and analysis that aids operational decision making. The role reports to the Head of FP&A Operations and will be a key figure within the Operations Finance team.
You will act as a key liaison between the finance department and other departments within the company, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with a focus on labour management and productivity. Your expertise in financial analysis, strategic thinking, and business partnering will be crucial in driving the profitability of the business.
Key Duties and Responsbilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
1. Act as the FP&A lead on major business labour initiatives: scoping opportunity, assessing financial viability, evaluating potential risks, and making recommendations to drive efficiencies.
2. Key point of contact with external 3rd party provider of labour management & reporting systems, exploring opportunities to innovate and progress the labour forecasting and reporting processes within Stonegate
3. Supporting the Head of FP&A Operations with strategic analysis and business partnering to the MD of Managed Operations
Operational Business Partnering
4. Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the Managed Operations team, providing financial expertise and guidance whilst identifying business opportunities and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
5. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments within company. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information exchange.
6. Labour system maintenance: Regularly review the rules & settings in our Labour Productivity Module to ensure productivity is optimised. Be the FP&A lead to troubleshoot & assist with Fourth labour queries by liaising with the Managed Operations team and the BI team.
Finance Management
7. Managing labour efficiencies: Monitor labour performance, continually looking for ways to be more productive & efficient. Review labour KPIs and report on these to the Managed Operations Team & FP&A.
8. Financial Reporting: To drive the new financial reporting suite for labour performance & productivity, partnering cross functionally with operations and BI team to create a best in class, self-serve, suite of reports that streamlines and drives efficiencies across all departments.
9. Financial Analysis: set the agenda and expectations for financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial performance evaluation across the Managed estate. Provide insights, recommendations and appropriate levels of challenge based on sound financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Continually review and improve as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
10. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
11. Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or a similar role in the hospitality or food and beverage industry with experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
12. Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with a solid understanding of financial metrics.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
14. Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
15. Analytical mindset, with attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple stakeholders, priorities and meeting deadlines.
