MAIN FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the logistics related to processing customer orders. Coordinates with sales staff, dispatchers, customer service representatives, warehouse staff, and shipping/receiving. Answers inquiries from customers and investigates complaints regarding services and policies. Inputs, updates, and consolidates ETA/shipping data and sends it to appropriate business units. Analyzes load information from customers to determine and verify the appropriate routes, rates, and schedules. Coordinates shipment schedules with vendors. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable in the position. This position typically includes senior Logistics/Shipments Coordinators with extensive prior experience.

* Be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a numeric discipline e.g., Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics (or relevant work experience underpinned by strong P&L performance).
* Have previous Marine Commercial experience, focused predominantly on:
* Evaluate, optimize, and manage freight operations.
* Possess an understanding of risk management.
* Have strong commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial mindset, analytical/IT skills, and take accountability for your results and contributions to the team.
* Possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a multi-cultural team environment.
* Have fluent English language skills (written and spoken), with additional language skills being desirable.
SCOPE OF WORK
Operate crude oil movements, equity sales, and third-party purchases in the Americas, North Sea, Baltic, West Africa, Mediterranean, and Black Sea to ensure delivery in a safe and timely manner. Be the focal point for the Upstream, Downstream, Refineries, Terminals, Charters, and Traders regarding these crude voyages.
* Manage the operations and scheduling activity for cargoes and third-party cargoes.
* Manage equipment from various third parties under existing or new contracts (Term Charter, Spot Charter, Contract of Affreightment, Charter Order, Master Transportation Agreement, etc.).
* Generate scheduling orders (Nominations) using trade signals from Traders and Refining Optimizers.
* Ensure all marine equipment (including load and discharge terminals) is properly vetted prior to loading through the internal vetting system.
* Formulate and issue appropriate voyage orders and letters of indemnity (as necessary).
* Identify and see opportunities for cost reductions through optimization of fleet (i.e., out-charters, cleaning reductions, repositioning, etc.).
* Provide timely and accurate schedule, vessel, and voyage-related operations information to internal stakeholders, vessel agents, and ship brokers to ensure vessel utilization and safety objectives are achieved (anticipated arrival and departure timing, in-port operations, lifting schedules, and other vessel/voyage data).
* Arrange and optimize supply and delivery of bunkers for time-chartered vessels.
* Work with sites to support and coordinate long-range planning and refinery turnarounds to ensure adequate equipment coverage and signal accuracy.
* Act as the first point of contact for billing disputes and/or resolution with billing clerks/analysts.
* Work closely with the Demurrage Claims organization to minimize losses and maximize value.
