Role Summary
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of care and the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programs of care. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients.
With experience they may be expected to take charge of the ward/department/service area in the absence of their Line Manager.

Registered Nurse - Fixed Term Contract ( Months). Healthcare for Older People / Rehab Unit
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse, (experienced or newly qualified) to join our friendly team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust- Healthcare for Older People Unit based at the South Molton Community Hospital site.
Hugh Squier Ward is a bedded adult unit predominantly delivering acute and rehabilitative care to our patients. We also care for a small group of patients that have neurological conditions and require treatment and rehabilitation. We provide excellent care, with an emphasis on advanced discharge planning and work very closely with our Ward Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Good interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively in a team, along with a positive attitude towards change are essential to the role.

The successful candidate would be supported in the role with ongoing training and access to a wide range of learning opportunities. If you are a newly qualified Registered Nurse, we will support you as you take your first steps with us.

This post will require you to work rostered shifts over the week which includes days/nights.

Pay - The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 3/ | NHS Employers).
