About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist - English speaking, further foreign language(-s) are desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working as a member of our multi-national shared services team
* Responsible primarily for daily processing and reconciliation of credit card and PayPal payments – 50% of the time
* Daily processing of refunds for B2C customers across European entities in multiple currencies and issuing matching credit notes accordingly – 30% of the time
* Sending invoices for our web orders
* Chasing overdue invoices and ensuring that aged debtors are kept to a minimum
* Responsible for EMEA accounts receivable including credit note production, credit control, and statement production
* Supporting other members of credit control staff with issuing various credit notes for B2B customers across EMEA entities
* Detailed reconciliation of customer accounts to be performed in Excel
* Recording customer receipts and following up overdue invoices in a timely manner
* Regular contact with customer contacts to ensure receivables issues are identified early and invoices are paid timely
* Monitoring of automatic invoicing to ensure invoices are received in a timely manner
* Producing cash forecast of customer receipts expected weekly. Close communication with the international shared services team based in Australia
We’re Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
* Due to the international nature of the business, fluent in English and another European or Arabic language
* At least 2 years’ demonstrable relevant previous experience in receivables management
* Genuine interest and passion within reconciliation
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate customer account issues and resolve them in a timely manner. Should be confident to communicate with other areas of the business to drive resolution (for example, operations and head office)
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure workload is managed
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Intermediate to advanced in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including the ability to perform pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas
* Ability to work effectively as part of a flexible, small, and multi-skilled team
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic
