The Role
Due to continuous growth, we are now recruiting for a Tax Compliance Senior to join our Newcastle office and wider Business Services Service Line.
The main elements of this role will include:
1. Being responsible for entering Tax information into the relevant sections of our Tax software ready for review by a Tax Compliance Manager
2. Dealing with complex areas within their portfolio, including Profit Sharing, Farmers Averaging Claims, CGT computations etc
3. Sending reminders to clients for required / missing information
4. Completing electronic submissions of returns to HMRC
5. Reporting any HMRC compliance enquiry notices to the Tax Compliance Manager
6. Providing support and training on Tax data entry to Tax Compliance Assistants
The Candidate
In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
1. A Full UK Driving Licence
2. Either ATT or CTA qualified already, or be currently studying for either of these qualifications. "Qualified by Experience" candidates will also be considered for this position
3. Experience of working in an Accounting / Tax Compliance capacity at an Accountancy Practice
4. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
5. A dedicated team player and willing to assist colleagues within the team where possible
6. Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
7. Able to use initiatives and have great organisation / problem solving skills
8. Keen to become part of a dynamic team
