We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Floating Housing Support Worker to join our team within our Floating Support service in the Vale of Glamorgan, which provides a housing related floating support service for people who live within the Vale of Glamorgan area and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Support is provided in person to our customers throughout the Vale.
This role is a temporary position working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday for up to 12 months (maternity cover).
What you'll do
1. This role will be key in providing a personalised psychologically informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs.
2. You'll be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy and fulfill their potential.
What you'll need
1. To be successful in this role you'll have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs.
2. You'll have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system.
3. You'll need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
4. You will need a full, current UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
