An opportunity has arisen for you to join the Stan Robinson team on a part-time basis, working from Monday to Wednesday. You will be processing weekly payroll and pension entries, processing leaver forms, and checking the validity of statutory payments such as sick pay, paternity pay, and maternity pay. You will ensure that the weekly payroll of 260 employees is administered correctly and on time.
Responsibilities:
* Entering new starters onto the payroll system
* Processing all pensions in accordance with regulations
* Inputting information from manual time sheets alongside clock-in data.
* Entering employee data, e.g. hours worked, overtime rates, taxes, national insurance payments, and other factors
* Processing holiday, sick, paternity, and leave payments along with any ancillary payments and processing deductions of earnings.
* Answering employee payroll queries
* Issuing statutory forms (p45, P60) and duplicate payslips.
* Processing PAYE deductions and sending payroll information for employees
* Obtaining and verifying BACS banking information from employees
* Creating and sending electronic payments
* Calculating and forwarding monthly payments e.g. PAYE union, court orders, etc.
* Year-end processing
* Verifying holiday balances
* Keeping up to date with payroll legislation.
You will have:
* Good computer literacy skills and strong administration skills. Payroll experience and knowledge of Pegasus Opera and CipHR would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Good organisation skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines.
* Interpersonal skills for dealing with employees and payroll queries
* Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex queries in a simplified way
