What hours will you be working?
35 hours per week across Monday to Friday
(exclusive of breaks) Default hours are 7am - 3pm. You may be requested to work some weekends
and remunerated accordingly.
Place of Work
You’ll be working at our Brewery near
Media City in Salford alongside our small, but friendly head office team. There may also be occasional overnight stays away to attend courses relevant to the role.
What you’ll be doing as an Apprentice
Brewer
A great opportunity to be our third
Apprentice. So far, both our Apprentices have passed their qualifications with
Distinctions. We will give you the ability to learn the brewing process from
start to finish. This includes designing beer recipes, choosing the raw
materials and ingredients, understanding the brewing process and innovative
technology that we use, and finally understanding how the finished product
arrives and is served at our pubs.
This will also include Quality Control,
Quality Assurance and warehouse and distribution. You will also have the
opportunity to learn from the best experienced team, including our Master
Brewer.
We're looking for someone with a great
work ethic, who wants to build their career in the brewing industry and is
happy working in a warehouse environment.
You'll also ensure that all Health &
Safety regulations are adhered to, and equipment is kept in a safe working
condition.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Five GCSEs at Grade C or higher
* Good work ethic with strong desire to undertake continual
training to develop your skills and knowledge
* Effective communication skills with the ability to provide
clear verbal and written information relative to brewing activities
* Good time management with proven ability to meet deadlines
and prioritise work as necessary to deal with multiple and competing
demands
* Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with colleagues,
suppliers and customers
* Strong collaborative approach and team ethic
* IT competent with good literacy and numeracy
