We have an exciting vacancy for a dynamic and experienced Youth Worker who will be responsible for engaging and supporting a caseload of young people by delivering our accredited James Brindley Full Circle Programme via 1:1 intervention sessions, educational workshops, and assemblies. The role will also support the delivery of training to professionals from a range of external agencies.
The balance between 1:1 work and group delivery will change according to the services commissioned, requiring flexibility from the postholder. The post holder will play a crucial role in delivering the Full Circle Programme to vulnerable and at-risk young people to overcome challenges, set and achieve academic and personal goals, manage risk, and make informed positive choices that reduce their risk of offending.
Key duties and responsibilities:

2. Support the delivery of The Full Circle Programme course to professionals when required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, enabling them to lead training courses.
3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, offering emotional support, guidance and mentorship.
4. Stay up-to-date with related statistics on knife crime and youth violence to inform best practice.
5. Develop and deliver engaging presentations and workshops as required.

7. Assist young people in setting and achieving academic, personal and employment goals.
8. Collaborate with professionals across various settings including education, social work, healthcare, residential care and emergency services, to develop and implement effective support strategies.
9. Promote and encourage positive, pro-social attitudes, behaviour and social skills among young people.

11. Maintain accurate records of interactions with young people, their progress and outcomes in line with FCP guidance.
12. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute as a supportive and enthusiastic member of the organisation.
13. Advocate for and promote the activities of The James Brindley Foundation at all times.
14. Meet agreed service outcomes, outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed by the line manager.
15. Undertake relevant training and actively participate in meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities to enhance role effectiveness.
16. Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and safeguarding legislation in all aspects of work.
