Works with the CDO and the Executive team, facilitating activities to drive commercial direction interwoven with corporate consolidation and the associated governance structures.
Acts as a Business Lead on various strategic initiatives to ensure the CDO’s key priorities are delivered effectively. Takes a lead role in representing the function in cost efficiency activities as well as regulatory and assurance initiatives.
Manages the business’ approach to such activities, ensuring appropriate engagement with key stakeholders, achieving key deliverables/progress in accordance with timelines.
Manages the office of the CDO with the support of the CDO Governance Manager.
Manages reporting requirements for the CDO to the Boards, Quilter ExCo, various fora and committees and represents the CDO at relevant fora and meetings, deputising as appropriate.
Leads the development of a suite of MI/Dashboard to oversee Distribution in its entirety.
Works with Corporate Functions, such as Investor Relations, Internal and External Communications and Finance, to ensure appropriate messaging for results and strategic initiatives and effective management of the CDO’s budget.
Works with existing Business and Governance managers as well as the Quilter Chief of Staff, to ensure seamless operation of new structures and reporting requirements.
On behalf of the CDO and as appropriate, leads the first line regulatory engagement activity and liaises with the 2LOD and 3LOD as required. Role models and promotes a risk-focused culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
About You
To be successful in this role you will provide thought leadership and engage the business with a consultative approach to identify opportunities, solve challenges and bring value through your insight and expertise. You will be comfortable challenging the status quo in order to influence the right outcome to deliver business benefit and continuous improvement.
The ability to navigate complex and political environments and manage multiple senior stakeholders is essential. With strong influencing skills and a high level of resilience, you will be proficient in quickly building trusted relationships and working effectively with cross-functional colleagues. You will have experience of working with ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid change, demonstrating the ability to balance and delegate multiple tasks and initiatives within strict deadlines.
Excellent reporting skills including detailed analysis and Board/Executive presentations. Delivering clear and engaging content, suitable for the intended audience.
Strong governance experience and the ability to manage risk in an appropriate and pragmatic manner is key. A focus on positive customer and adviser outcomes in all aspects of the work undertaken by this role is fundamental.
