We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Team as a Consultancy Advisor, taking ownership of client and consultant management, labour law expertise, and contract negotiations while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards. This role involves collaborating on business development, supporting internal recruitment, and handling key administrative tasks such as payroll and pensions, all while driving company success through teamwork and independent initiatives. What you will be doing.
As a Consultancy Advisor, you will manage and develop all facets of the Consultancy business and drive it forward working closely with the Consultancy Manager. In addition, you will:
* Manage and develop new and existing client relationships through business development activities.
* Identify and handle qualified professional consultants seeking opportunities and gathering appropriate documentation as required.
* Source and match client prospects with consultants’ skill base and current situations.
* Gather market intelligence from websites, publications, leads and record in CRM as well as follow up and pass information to other parties.
* Negotiate and provide current market information on day rates, tax issues, clients, industry developments etc. for all disciplines and locations.
* Maintain and document both personnel and client files in the database and in the CRM tool.
* Sustain constant team liaison.
* Ensure continual contact and feedback are provided to consultants on positions and current market opportunities.
* Contribute towards the attainment and surpassing of business unit KPI’s as determined by the business plan.
* Propose measures that could improve profitability to the consultancy business.
* Continually grow the business through established relationships and generating new opportunities worldwide.
* Cross sell AGR brand and develop the group’s profile.
* Represent AGR at formal functions, business meetings and social events.
This role will be based in Aberdeen, UK and the candidate must have the right to live and work in Aberdeen, Scotland. Flexibility regarding working hours may be required from time to time.
What we are looking for.
As a Consultancy Advisor, you should possess strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. You should have a deep understanding of industry trends and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs. Expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and business development is essential for driving success in this role.
* Relevant BSc Degree or equivalent working experience in communication and interpersonal skills.
* 3+ years relevant recruitment experience.
* PAYE / Inside IR35 experience.
* Experience using Microsoft packages.
* Hard-working, conscientious, professional and independent.
* Self-motivated and analytical with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial colleagues.
Desirable:
* Experience with agency and in-house recruitment (this role will do internal and external).
* Knowledge of pension schemes and terms.
* Experience using SAP & other client specific software.
