Visitor Welcome Volunteers join the Shakespeare Houses Operations team to help create a wonderful experience for their global audiences. You will be present within the open areas of our properties, regularly moving between spaces to engage with our visitors about the garden, house and site. You could be based at Shakespeare's Birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, or New Place.
Which skills are we looking for?
1. Good people skills with the ability to talk confidently and succinctly to both individuals and groups from varying backgrounds and with a range of needs. If you can do this in a second language, even better!
2. Passion to learn and enthusiasm for our vision.
3. An interest in history and in Shakespeare.
4. Willingness to undergo training in customer service, accessibility, and health and safety.
5. Willingness to learn and share with visitors the points of interest at our sites.
6. Ability to ensure health and safety guidelines are followed and be responsible for your own health and safety.
