The Division is responsible for delivery and assurance of the Transformation and Change Plan, the portfolio of change within UK Export Finance. The post holder will be reporting to the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within which is the Business Change Team. The PMO facilitates business improvement by providing practical advice and guidance tailored from industry standards, best practice and lessons learned. The PMO is focused on our 13-year pipeline and progress towards longer term objectives including the resources and tools required to meet those aspirations. It also has responsibility for assurance of the Portfolio and facilitating transparency and accountability of the in-flight TCP. The Business Change team help to mitigate the risks and challenges which may arise in the course of delivering and implementing change. Not just on projects but organisation wide. Job description The role of the Business Change Manager is to proactively prepare the business for the impact of the changes being delivered by projects and support continuous improvement through the development and deployment of the Change strategies and champions. The Business Change Manager with the support of their team and networks, has responsibility for providing a bridge between the project and the business users to ensure that activities are planned and completed to enable the business to implement the agreed change and realise the business benefits. This role may be open to apprenticeship opportunities on completion of probation. If successful, your line manager will discuss with you what apprenticeship options that may be available and whether you would like to pursue them. Person specification Leadership & Delivery a) Provide visible and effective leadership, lead the business change management activity and work with the project managers to deliver the Business Case benefits and outcomes. b) Develop clear vision and standards and champion the use of best practice business change management standards, tools and processes. Build strong networks both internally and externally. c) Working effectively with a team that comprises of people from various parts of the organisation, many of whom have other responsibilities and tasks and often work under considerable pressure. d) Lead on the development and deployment of Change networks to meet UKEF needs. Raising the profile of these networks and overall awareness of the work that they do. Ensuring there are clearly defined roles and work packages. Change Products a) Lead the creation of the required Business Change products. Lead on engagement with key contacts. Ensure products are used appropriately by the Project Manager / the business. Change Planning and Business Readiness a) Lead on the change management elements of Business Cases including Benefits identification and impact assessments. b) Support project managers and change agents in establishing and maintaining the change plan for the projects and provide input into the overall Project Plan. c) Supporting in delivering continuous improvement across UKEF, also utilising and maximising the capability of the Change Agents network. d) Advise on methods to establish the business readiness criteria before implementation. Benefits Management a) Work in partnership with the benefit owners, change agents and stakeholders to plan benefits realisation as part of all Business Change activities. Providing challenge where necessary to ensure required standards are met. b) This should include the identification and agreement of SMART benefits and mechanisms for monitoring and ownership during and after project delivery. c) Take a lead on reporting and monitoring of benefits at a Portfolio level e.g. ensuring dashboards are kept up to date, progress reports to senior leadership etc. Stakeholder Management & Change Communication a) Advise on Business Change messaging, working closely with Internal communications. Provide content for communications relating to Business Change across the Portfolio. b) Support project managers in the identification, classification, and updating of stakeholder engagement plans. c) Provide subject matter expertise on stakeholder engagement in projects to ensure it meets Business Change requirements. Guidance & Support a) Provide direction and guidance to team, and support development of others. Lead on approach to Business Change activities across the portfolio.
