Role: Infrastructure Manager – Azure DevOps Location: Midlands / Hybrid Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience) About the Role: We’re working with a fantastic client in the Midlands who’s looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager with strong Azure DevOps knowledge. This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. You’ll take the lead in managing Azure resources, improving infrastructure through automation, and making sure systems are secure, compliant, and running efficiently. You’ll also head up a team of IT professionals, providing support, guidance, and helping them grow in their roles while ensuring projects are delivered smoothly. Responsibilities: • 3rd level support • Azure & Infrastructure Management • Maintain and support on-prem infrastructure, mainly Hyper-V or VMware environments. • Plan and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure infrastructure solutions. • Automate deployments and workflows using tools like Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions. • Monitor and improve system performance, uptime, and reliability. • Provide third-line support across a range of Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, Containers, Terraform, Subscription & Tenant management, DevOps, FinOps, and Security. • Set up and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans. • Make sure systems meet security and compliance requirements using Azure Policies. • Manage cloud spend using Azure Cost Management tools. • Be the go-to person for everything Windows OS related. • Lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. • Identify training needs and encourage ongoing development within the team. • Strong experience managing and supporting Azure environments. • Solid knowledge of Azure services, architecture, and deployment models. • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and version control (e.g. GitHub). • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform. • Good understanding of Azure security tools like Security Center and Key Vault. • Experience with Group Policy and Intune. • Background in managing virtualised environments (Hyper-V or VMware).
