We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Wellbeing Officer to join Bluebird Care Cardiff & The Vale… a company dedicated to delivering exceptional care, while looking after the people who make it all possible.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

* Additional Pay - You will be required to take part in our on-call rota after full training:
Weekend on-call rate: £40 per day
Weekday on-call rate: £15 per day
What You’ll Be Doing
The primary focus of this role is to complete all regulatory tasks such as Supervisions, Appraisals, Spot Checks, and Medication Competency Assessments, while also supporting the wellbeing of our care team.
* Providing emotional support, being a listening ear for carers who feel stressed, isolated or overwhelmed
* Organising wellbeing programs and activities including mindfulness sessions, and stress management workshops
* Facilitating one-on-one or group check-ins to address concerns or challenges at our Culverhouse Office
* Tracking carers' wellbeing and engagement levels through surveys or informal feedback.
* Encouraging a healthy work-life balance
Training & Advocacy
* Ensuring carers have access to ongoing training & development
* Acting as a voice for carers within the organisation, advocating for their needs
Crisis & Practical Support
* Signposting carers to external support services when needed
Building A Positive Workplace Culture
* Working to continuously improve working conditions and fostering a culture of recognition and appreciation.
* Recognising and celebrating achievements with initiatives like Carer of the Month
* Facilitating team-building activities to foster a sense of community among carers.
What We’re Looking For
* At least 1 year of experience in the care sector
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
* A compassionate, organised, and proactive approach
* Strong communication & problem-solving skills
