Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join our team in Mitcham, Greater London. As an integral part of the education and training industry, you will be responsible for providing support to students with autism in the classroom setting. This is a temporary position with full-time hours, offering a competitive salary of £600 - £800 per week, with PAYE benefits.
Job Duties:
* Supporting students with autism in the classroom
* Assisting teachers in implementing individualised education plans
* Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
* Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating with other staff members to ensure student progress
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Experience working with individuals with autism
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Working with individuals with autism
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of autism spectrum disorders
* Ability to provide individualised support to students
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
* Experience in a similar role within the education sector
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom environment, collaborating with teachers and other support staff. The work is full-time, temporary, and based in Mitcham, Greater London.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
