We design and build our robots in house and are building new purpose built spaces for assembly, testing and product demos. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior CNC Machinist to join our dedicated team in Wallingford. As an experienced CNC Machinist you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating our machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. In addition you will also have a strong understanding of machining techniques, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to delivering top-quality products.
Deputise and support the CNC Production Technical lead whilst being a primary resource for programming
Safely and efficiently operate CNC machines to produce components as per engineering drawings.
Work with engineering on new designs and give input for design for manufacture
Provide inspection resource for both first article and interim checks
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report any issues to the maintenance department
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and production issues during the machining process
Maintain and update documentation of machine setup, tooling, and production data
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production goals
Experience with CNC milling and turning and CNC programming
Knowledge of G-code and CAM software (we use Fusion 360, prior experience not essential )
Knowledge of Solidworks would be advantageous but not essential
