We are looking for an enthusiastic band 6 Physiotherapist to join our band 6 senior inpatient speciality rotation scheme. The post holder will work across the Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital as part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Applicants should have wide ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient centred care, wishing to further those skills at a senior level. The post holder will rotate on an 8 monthly basis through the following clinical specialisms: Intensive Care Respiratory, cardiology and oncology Surgery Acute Medical Unit and ED Frailty Elderly Care Health and Ageing Unit Stroke and HASU Neurology Outpatients Neurological Rehabilitation on the level 2b Ontario Unit Neurological Rehabilitation on Frank Cooksey Level 1 Rehabilitation Unit Elective Orthopaedics Trauma Orthopaedics. The post holder will independently manage a clinical caseload within the inpatient multi-disciplinary speciality teams. They will supervise and support band 5 members of staff. There is a strong emphasis on student education in all rotations and a variety of models, with support from senior clinical leads. There is a well-established in service education programme, where you can build upon your clinical skills, and develop managerial skills with support from senior clinical leads. The post holder will also contribute to the in house training and development programme. Attendance at post registration courses is also supported. Candidates will be expected to join and partake in our overnight emergency on-call rota and weekend working rotas, so previous experience of working on an on-call rota or working within respiratory / intensive care field is essential. You will also be expected to work as part of a seven day rota or extended hours during some of the rotations. We are looking for someone ready to progress professionally to an in-patient Band 6 role, or to further develop their Band 6 skills within the smaller sites in the London borough of Bromley, as part of the wider King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
