Multi-Trade Operative
Covering West Yorkshire
- Calderdale, Bradford and surrounding areas

- £35,476 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our West Yorkshire Voids Team. With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for void properties bringing recently vacated properties back to a lettable standard in a timely manner to allow them to be offered to new customers. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team of 8 operatives as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented
- G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS)
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in at least one of the following disciplines – Joinery or Plumbing
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- Previous experience working within Social Housing is desirable
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
