Pastors, presidents, and principals serve as leaders of the schools to make Christ’s mission present and enduring in the schools. In order to fulfill Christ’s mission, the school leaders employ suitable, chosen collaborators, sharing with them Christ’s mission and entrusting to them various responsibilities.
Positions employed in this School help extend the ministry of the School leaders in particular ways as outlined in the job description. The employee in this position is closely connected to and assists School leaders in the performance of their ministry and, therefore, engages in ministry for the Church.
Job Summary
St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School seeks a full-time math teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year. This teacher will be responsible for several sections of High School Math ranging from Algebra I to Advanced Placement Math, based on level of experience. In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to be a collaborative member of the Math department and grade level team, serve as an adviser to one of Savio's families within the House System, and model servant leadership through participation in grade level retreats.
The Math Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization, and curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in math field from an accredited American university or equivalent in a foreign country.
Certifications and Training:
1. Valid Texas driver's license.
2. Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period.
3. Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
4. Must meet staff development guidelines as set forth by the Diocese and school administration.
5. Must complete Missionary Discipleship for Catholic Schools (Level 1) within two years of the date of hire, completing a minimum of 25 hours each year.
