The role
The role holder will be responsible for leading and supporting activities related to Standard Life’s intermediary proposition, which is a key part of the Phoenix Group, Open Business. They will specifically focus on defining and executing the proposition strategy to support our ‘Private Client’ distribution channel, ensuring it aligns with intermediary and client needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. A strong understanding of High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth client needs is essential, including investment strategies, tax-efficient products, custody of assets, and service tailored to the channel’s requirements.
The role holder will ensure that our products and proposition continues to meet customer and intermediary needs and are suitable for our markets, that all regulatory requirements are met, risks are effectively managed and propositions deliver the business commercial objectives.
The role holder must be able to work effectively and build relationships with others across the business and may work in or lead cross-functional teams.
The role holder may have workflow management and/or people management responsibilities.
What are we looking for?
The role holder must be able to:
1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of intermediary and customer needs and behaviours, so that discovery, design, delivery, deployment and ongoing management can be tailored to reflect these needs.
2. Contribute to, and lead, the development elements of the intermediary proposition plan to support the Private Client distribution channel, investigating and providing recommendations for issues raised which impact on the effectiveness of the proposition.
3. Understand the impact of changes in the wider market and the Private Client channel - intermediary and customer needs, market suitability, legislative, competitive, social and technological - and use this knowledge to help develop, deliver or manage Standard Life’s intermediary proposition.
4. Manage aspects of the intermediary proposition under own responsibility to ensure that intermediary, customer and business benefits are achieved and maximised.
5. Demonstrate robust understanding of risk management within area and evidence that controls are in place to comply with applicable regulatory requirements ensuring that customer outcomes are in line with the relevant frameworks.
