Role responsibilities: Drive the lender strategy to deliver a seamless process from application submission through to paid by offering a transparent price and product choice to the consumer. Manage and develop a high performing, fast paced team of lender relationship managers, together with our small underwriting team. Work with relevant stakeholders across the business to deliver a simple, and unified process for the sales partners across all lender integrations. Work closely with lenders to ensure that they provide a consistent, positive customer journey and outcome. Drive strategic development across lender process to drive automation, speed and efficiency. Continuously building new connections with lenders including tech driven entrants into the market to open doors to these new opportunities. Maximise automation through the decision engine, and effectively manage the referred decisions to minimise time to decision and maximise right product first time. Work closely with the Product Owners to support the definition of requirements, value and prioritisation of technical delivery. Support the acquisition team to maximise our price comparison site opportunities. Lead contract negotiations with lenders (with support from our Commercial Director), to ensure operational efficiency, process alignment and commercial wins. Support the growth of the lender panel, by identifying lenders in the market which support the customer journey and deliver against opportunities identified across the team; approval rate, approval to paid conversion or rate reductions. Experience, skills and qualifications required: Experienced and proven professional, with a minimum of five years’ experience gained from a similar role particularly in the automotive or financial services industry. Strong analytical skills, data driven decision maker. Detail and process orientated. Knowledge of regulatory requirements. Ability to inspire teams to deliver projects at the right pace and coach peers and direct reports. Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders efficiently and effectively. Positive, proactive and highly motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality of delivery. Great attention to detail, highly organised and able to work on own initiative. Confident negotiator and persuader with the ability to understand the economics of managing multiple products within a panel. Respectful and supportive of colleagues, the business and all associated third parties. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Full driving licence.
